It would be safe to presume that India is the Mecca when it comes to engineers. With literally hundreds of thousands of engineering graduates passing through the rigorous system each year, it is extremely important to ensure that a good system of education providing a high quality of technical knowledge and skills is established. India has made progress when it comes to providing technical education for its youth; however, there are still quite a lot of loopholes that keep on haunting the system. In recent years, the education institutions have tried to emulate a more westernized means of education, laying primary emphasis on the need for technical knowledge and real-life application skills over theoretical aspects of the syllabus. Many premier institutions of the country have also started to follow credit and electoral systems which, in a way, revolutionized how the assessment was being done over the years.
Why is there a need for an excellent solid undergraduate education? One of the reasons can be cited towards the fact that India’s population has exploded within the last few decades, but employment opportunities haven’t quite kept up the increase in demand. Many of the youth who are graduates are now faced with the issue of unemployment or in some cases, underemployment. This helps us realize that good quality education is an absolute must.
Fortunately, some educational institutions across the country have been committed to the prospect of providing high-quality education and ensuring that the students can shine when thrust onto the global platform. In recent years Andhra Pradesh has been a much-preferred destination when it comes to providing excellent quality technical education. One of the reasons can be the rapidly growing IT industry present alongside many MNCs having their establishments located there.
