APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarships

Almost 40% of the Indian children are denied the right to complete their education due to their financial drawbacks. Many scholarship programs offer different schemes to different students all over the world. Each scholarship program is unique and is driven by a strong motive by an individual or an organization. This scholarship is named after our beloved late president of India Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam as a part of his memory. Abdul Kalam has a liking towards students and always never fails to encourage youngsters to innovate and brainstorm. He always envisioned that the youth and children would eventually lead to the technical outburst not only in India but throughout the world and make the world a better place to live not only for humans but also for nature. He was indeed a role model for every Indian Youth.

Rhodes Scholarship India

This scholarship is offered almost throughout the country by the respective state government. There are many scholarship schemes under the Abdul Kalam Scholarship. The Eligibility for every scheme varies accordingly. The scholarship plans are :

  • APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, Kerala is provided by the Department of Minority Welfare, Kerala
  • Students can apply from August to November.
  • The selected student in their diploma shall receive an amount of Rs.6,000 per annum.

APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarships, Jamia Millia Islamia by the Jamia Millia Islamia 

  • Students can apply from December to January.
  • Selected students of Jamia Millia Islamia will receive up to Rs.10,000 per annum.
  • 50% of scholarship reservations for female students.

CH Muhammad scholarship

Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships, by the University of Sydney

  • Students can apply in Semester 1 in August and Semester 2 in May.
  • Selected students can get 50% of their tuition money for one year only.

Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program by the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR)

  • Students can apply from December to January.
  • 20 Selected students can avail a scholarship of Rs.25,000 for two months, including a travel allowance of Rs.5,000

Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship by the Science and Engineering Research Board ( SERB)

  • Students can apply only in December.
  • Selected students can avail of a scholarship amount of Rs.25,000 per month, and research grants of Rs.15 Lakh per annum, and an overhead amount of Rs.1 Lakh per annum is given to the hosting institute.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship

Abdul Kalam Post Graduate Fellowship by the University of South Florida (USF)

  • Students can apply from January to March.
  • Selected students can avail of a scholarship of USD 22,000 as stipend and get a tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 4 years.

Fulbright Kalam Climate Fellowship by the United States- India Educational Foundation(USIEF)

  • Students can apply from January to July.
  • Selected students get to avail benefits like J-1 visa support, round trip airfare between India and US, a monthly stipend, and many more.

APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards by the National Innovation Foundation

  • Students can apply from April to August.
  • Selected students get to display the project in an exhibition and also receive travel expenses of the train.
