CBIT Placements

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology was established in the Year 1979 by a group of visionaries from varied professions of Engineering, Medical, Legal and Management Sectors to educate and train students in engineering and management to provide the country with job-ready technically trained personnel. They aim at enhancing the life of the student through stringent academic practices along with co-curricular and cultural activities that enrich their life. This is achieved through various Clubs, Societies and Student Chapters of Professional Bodies, that gives them hands-on experience of working in the real world and organizing events in the fields of their interest and of course participating in them. They have a Placement Cell which helps bridge the gap between companies and applicants by training them in soft skills and communication skills and teaches them how to interview and build portfolios to get the best job that they can and utilize their skills to the best of their ability. To start this process, the cell has identified the companies they want to work with and contacted them. This is how they have established a relationship with them and this helps them get companies to take interviews on the campus and hire interns and final years. They conduct placement and internship drives every year to give opportunities to students after the third and fourth years to increase their work experience. In the last 21 incredible years, a total of 300 companies have visited CBIT recruiting 12,909 students from various disciplines. They have been ranked 31st in the country and 1st in the state as far as placements are concerned amongst the top 100 engineering colleges, in the 2006 July issue of the prestigious OUTLOOK magazine.
