Hindustan University was originally named as the Hindustan College of Engineering. It was established in the year of 1985, was later on granted the University status by the University Grants Commission under section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. This step was carried out in the academic year of 2008-09, and the term university was conferred. Today Hindustan University is one of the most prestigious engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. The university has gained quite a lot of attention in the last couple of years due to its highly experienced and learned faculty. The institute has excellent infrastructural amenities along with significant emphasis being laid on extracurricular activities and a sound high-quality learning system.
