IB Result

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is an Indian intelligence agency. It operates internally unlike other agencies such as RAW. It operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in India. It was started in 1947 as the Central Intelligence Bureau. The Bureau employs professionals from law enforcement agencies such as the Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and the Indian military. The director of the Bureau has always been an IPS officer.

The IB recruitment notification is announced on a timely basis based on the number of vacancies. In 2020, there are reportedly 318 vacancies in the IB to be filled. The IB recruitment exam is conducted by the Intelligence Bureau and it is conducted offline. The notification for the exam is released on the official website, mha.gov.in. Due to its high secrecy, the exam is conducted offline to avoid any security risks online. IB is also tasked with gathering intelligence and fighting terrorism on the border areas such as Jammu and Kashmir and is crucial to National Security in India and hence, the recruitment process is rigorous and involves a heavy background check on the interested candidate. The vacancies reportedly to be filled by the IB include those of Deputy Director, Senior Accounts Officer, Senior Research Officer, Security Officer, Assistant Security Officer Caretaker, etc.

The eligibility criteria for applying to IB vacancies is the age limit which requires the interested candidate to be less than 54 years old. The candidates should also have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or engineering degree from a recognized university. The application link is present on the official website and requires the bio-data of the candidate. The IB exams are conducted very carefully by the MHA and the results are announced almost a month after the exams have been conducted. The number of candidates appearing for the exam is also high and the results are available on the official website.

Due to the lesser number of applicants and a lot of servers, the official website is very efficient in giving the results. After the notification for the results is given, one can go to the site mha.gov.in to check the results. The MHA IB security assistant exam results are out as of 10th May 2020 and are available to check on the official website. The cut-off marks for Tier-1 exams are 35% in the general category.
