The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) previously known as National Law School located in Bangalore was established in 1986. It is Indias best law school and is ranked as number one law school in India by NIRF, Indias Today, Outlook India, and The Week.
It offers undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. The admission to this university is made based on the national level exam known as standard law admission test (CLAT).
NLSIU offers undergraduate fiver year integrated B.A. /LL.B. program which makes a candidate eligible for the practice of law in India. Eligibility for an undergraduate course is that students must have passed the 12th standard having at least 45% aggregate.
NLSIU offers LL.M. coursework degree of duration one year and Ph.D. research degrees. NLSIU also provides a two year Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. For this particular course candidate is selected on the basis of policy aptitude test and personal interview held by the university.
