If you do then NIT-Meghalaya (NIT-M)is the place for you, where you can pursue your engineering dreams while admiring nature all along. NITs are one of the top-notch engineering institutes in our engineer crazy country, and they just come below IITs in their status and financial help they receive from the government. Courses offered The NIT offers courses at the UG, PG and Ph.D. level. At the UG and PG level, the courses offered include B.Tech, M.Tech, B. Arch, M.Arch, B.Plan, M.Plan, etc.

Admissions at the UG level is via the JEE Mains examination and for the PG level is via GATE. Details about the courses offered can be found at Admissions 2020 Admissions to all NITs are via the JEE Mains examination. The examination is held twice a year in January and April and is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The test is followed by the JoSAA counseling where students get to know about the available seats in each course. For the PG examinations, the individuals have to ace the GATE examinations which are held in February followed by the CCMT counseling. Admission to the NITs is tough given that about 1 million students take the Mains examination and only 19000 seats, while about the same number take the GATE aspiring for one of the 8050 seats. Even then a lot depends on the percentile one gets as it will decide whether the student will get a branch of choice or not. For Ph.D. degrees, the admission is via a written test and interview. Details about Ph.D. admissions can be found on the NIT-Ms website.
