Scholarship Punjab

Punjab is a land of rich culture and vast heritage. Such a vast state in India is indeed a place for opportunities springing out of everywhere. Here we have glorious opportunities even for the students. Punjab scholarship has a wide range of scholarship schemes suitable for a wide variety of students. These scholarships are mainly targeted to all of those students who are school and college dropouts due to their financial needs and to also encourage all of the students to come out of their comfort zone and reach beyond without having to feel any economic constraints. There are about ten scholarships that are offered by the Government of Punjab as well as the Government of India.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students:

  • The students studying at a level at or higher than class 11 can apply. (up to post-graduation degree)
  • A scholarship amount of Rs.1200 per month for hostellers and Rs.550 per month for day scholars is issued.
  • An additional allowance of Rs.240 per month for disabled students is issued.
  • Other allowances include Rs.1600 per annum for study tours, Rs.1200 per annum for books, Rs 1600 for thesis typing, and printing charges for research scholars.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship

Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students:

  • This scholarship is for the students who are in their 9th and 10th grade.
  • The scholarship amount of Rs. 150 per month for day scholars and Rs.350 per month for hostellers.
  • Other allowances include Rs750 per annum for Books and Ad hoc for day scholars and Rs.1000 per annum for hostellers.
  • Additional allowances for the disabled students.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students:

  • The students who are studying from a level in and above 11th grade up to post-graduation level.
  • The student gets Rs.750 per month if he is a hosteller and Rs350 if he is a day scholar.
  • Visually impaired students get reader charges of Rs.175 per month.
  • Other allowances include Rs.900 per annum for study tours and Rs.1000 for Thesis typing and printing charges.

Jio Scholarship

Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC Students :

  • The students who are from class 1 to 10 can only avail of this scholarship.
  • The students of class 1 to 5 get a monthly scholarship of Rs.25
  • The students of class 6 to 8 get a monthly scholarship of Rs.40
  • The students of class 9 and 10 get a monthly scholarship of Rs.50
  • An ad hoc grant of Rs500 per annum is also issued.

Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme:

  • This scholarship benefits the class 10 students.
  • Students who get 60% to 70% get a 70% fee waiver.
  • Students who get 70% to 80% get an 80% fee waiver.
  • Students who get 80% to 90% get a 90% fee waiver.
  • Students who get 90% to 100% get a 100% fee waiver.

Pre Matric Scholarship for Minorities:

  • Students who belong to the minority community ( Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis, Christians, Jains, Buddhists) and are from class 1 to class 10 are eligible.
  • The Student must be able to score a minimum of 50% in the last qualifying exam.
  • Students who are from class 1 to class 10 get Rs.100 per month if they are day scholars.
  • Students who are from class 6 to class 10 get Rs.600 per month if they are hostellers.
  • Admission fee of Rs.500 Per annum and a tuition fee of Rs.350 per month are also issued.

Kalia Scholarship

Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities:

  • The students who belong to the minority community (Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis, Christians, Jains, Buddhists) who are in and above class 11 up to PG level are eligible.
  • The student shall receive an amount of Rs.10,000 per annum for his tuition or course fee.
  • The student shall also receive maintenance charges of Rs.550 per month for day scholars and Rs.1200 per month for hostellers for ten months.

Merit cum means Scholarship for Minorities :

  • The students who belong to the minority community (Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis, Christians, Jains, Buddhists) who are in there under graduation or post-graduation are eligible.
  • The student shall receive Rs.20,000 per annum for their course fee for both day scholars and hostellers.
  • The student can also receive maintenance charges of Rs.1000 per month for hostellers and Rs.500 per month for day scholars for ten months.

KVPY Scholarship Amount

Attendance Scholarship for Primary Girl Students of BC/EBC Families:

  • The female students who fall under BC/EBC Category are only eligible.
  • They must maintain a mandatory attendance of 75%.
  • The student shall receive an amount of Rs.50 per month for 10 months.

Attendance Scholarship for Primary Girl Students:

  • The female students are only eligible.
  • They must maintain a mandatory attendance of 75%.
  • The student shall receive an amount of Rs.50 per month for 10 months.
  • The application process is online and is simple.
